Sporting silly style after a fun girls’ night out.
Hanging with Chieko’s son (who dreams of becoming a Japanese Coast Guard) and sweet Sanae.
Nagi and Omo are the loveliest ladies around. Nagi is a cute little drama queen.
Very tasty lemon cake.
Playing with the babies.
I’m really into these convex mirrors on the street.
Roasting marshmallows while I make a fire for the bath.
Those mallows are sweet goodness.
Chilling on the beach- took a long catnap curled up in the sand instead of snorkelling.
Nori-san taught me how to make a stained glass suncatcher! She lives with an incredible artistic community in the mountains- with two other glass artists and a ceramic artist with awe-inspiring sitar strumming skills.
Ladies’ night out at Kaname izakaya.
Manzo’s crew roasting homemade bread looped around long bamboo sticks over the fire. They needed a bit of help getting the fire going.
Goro the eel-dog! (unagi-inu)
Making Sanae’s farewell card- she is leaving the island for great adventures soon after my departure. It is really perfect timing, since she always makes my day and I would be quite sad staying on without her bright presence.
